Vintage Comic Postcard – “Do You Allow Mixed Bathing?” – Milton Series

A colourful vintage comic postcard featuring the question, “Do You Allow Mixed Bathing?” The illustration shows a gentleman in a striped bathing costume speaking to another man beside a beach bathing hut, with a humorous seaside scene unfolding.

This card is a lovely example of early twentieth-century British seaside humour, when bathing costumes, beach huts and changing attitudes towards mixed bathing provided plenty of material for comic postcards.

Published by Woolstone Bros. of London as part of the Milton Series, this example is numbered 1356. The reverse bears a red one-penny King George V stamp and a handwritten message.

A characterful addition to a collection of comic postcards, seaside memorabilia and vintage British humour.
