Vintage Comic Postcard – “Yes, We Have No Pyjamas” – 1924

A wonderfully amusing vintage comic postcard showing a miserable-looking holidaymaker sitting on his bed on the first night of his holiday, surrounded by unpacked luggage and belongings.

The caption reads: “First Night on Holiday — ‘Yes, We Have No Pyjamas’”. A humorous take on holiday packing mishaps, this colourful illustration captures the frustrations of getting away for a break in the 1920s.

The postcard was posted from Blackpool on 18 August 1924, making it a lovely piece of dated social history as well as a fun addition to a vintage comic postcard collection.
