A wonderfully cheeky vintage seaside comic postcard featuring a rather unfortunate beach incident!

The caption reads: “Please, Sir, Would You Mind Sitting on Another Heap of Sand, That's Where We Buried Auntie!” The colourful illustration shows two children explaining the situation to a startled gentleman sitting on the beach. A fine example of the mischievous humour found on vintage comic postcards.

Published by The Regent Publishing Co. Ltd. of London, this example belongs to the Regent Series, No. 4113. It was posted on 8 July 1927, with a handwritten message describing a holiday where the weather was pleasant and the beach was not too crowded.
