A humorous vintage comic postcard illustrated by Donald McGill, featuring a conversation between two women about married life.

The printed joke reads:

“I've been married five years and I still kiss my husband good-bye every morning!”

“So do I—but I have to take jolly good care not to wake him!”

The colourful illustration shows a woman sitting outside her home, preparing food, as she chats with a neighbour over the garden fence. McGill's familiar style of cheeky domestic humour makes this an entertaining example of early twentieth-century British comic postcard art.

The reverse is printed “British Throughout” and “Comic Series 6007”. The postcard was posted and carries two halfpenny green stamps, with a postmark.

An appealing addition for collectors of Donald McGill postcards, vintage humour, social history and comic depictions of married life.
